This mug is discounted because it has a few small hairline cracks on the inside of the cup, as shown in the photos. They can be difficult to see because they are very fine.
The cracks appear to be fully covered by the glaze, but because of their location, I can't guarantee that they are completely sealed. Personally, I would still feel comfortable using this mug, but I want to be completely transparent so you know exactly what you're purchasing.
Please keep in mind that this mug is not in perfect condition, and the price reflects that!
This cup is finished with lead-free, non-toxic glaze that is safe for food and drink. It has been fired at over 2,000°F, making it dishwasher and microwave safe. I personally choose to hand wash my handmade pieces just to give them a little extra care.
