This mug has been discounted because it has two tiny hairline cracks on the inside, as shown in the photos. They are very fine and can be difficult to see.
The cracks appear to be covered by the glaze, and the mug is still fully functional. While I personally would feel comfortable using it, I want to be completely transparent that it isn't in perfect condition.
Aside from this small imperfection, the mug is finished with a lead-free, non-toxic glaze that is safe for food and drink. It has been fired at over 2,000°F, making it dishwasher and microwave safe. That said, I personally choose to hand wash my handmade pieces to help them stay beautiful for years to come.
